I remember writing the guitar riff - I was in the music room at school during lunch break and sunlight was pouring through the window and on to the pages of sheet music. I was messing around on the guitar and this odd-bar riff came out and I started humming over it. The song is about dissolution and renewal, about getting through the bad days and realising you’re more resilient than you think you are: life goes on, and some days it’s pretty good.
